8/3/2025

The Muskies last pool play game in the NABF World Series featured the Muskies and Chicago Clout, the remaining undefeated teams in the pool. Even though Muskies collected eight hits to Clout's six, they still fell 6-3 at North Central College. AJ Le, Andy Gaytan, and Quintin Alexander each collected two hits for Beecher.

The Clout got on the board in the first inning after an error scored two runs. They added one run in the second. Andrew Rubin walked, making the score 3-1.

Gaytan hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the third for the Muskies.  Alexander singled to left field, which helped the Muskies tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.

The Clout captured the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the fourth after Josh Wenz singled down the left field line, and Rubin grounded out, each scoring one run.  Dominick Mazza earned the win for Clout. The hurler surrendered seven hits and three runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Alex Rodriguez took the loss for Beecher. The pitcher went three and one-third innings, allowing five runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out four and walking five.

The Muskies advance to the elimination round of the series in a Saturday noon game against the Addison Braves at North Central.
