Muskies Ride Big First Inning to Victory

Eleven pitches into the bottom of the first inning on Tuesday night, the Muskies had already scored seven times against the Windy City Baseball Club.  The team would ride that early barrage to an 11-0 win Gouwens Park.  The big first inning featured a Marty Coyle RBI double, scoring two runs, a Mark Dye RBI single, an RBI double from  AJ Le  and a Thomas Offill (pictured) RBI base hit.

 

Karl Gotsch earned the win for Muskies. The reliever surrendered two hits and no runs over three innings, striking out two and walking three. Miller took the loss for Windy City Collegiate 2025. The left-handed pitcher went four innings, surrendering nine runs (four earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking two. Camden Kearney opened the game on the mound for the Muskies. The right-handed pitcher gave up no hits and no runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Josh Sutker and Zac Ruzich each threw scoreless innings for Beecher in relief.

 

Muskies amassed 11 hits in the game. Coyle, Dye, and Andy Gaytan each collected two hits for the Muskies. 

 

The Muskies return to play on Thursday at Diamond Point Park in a 7:30 PM Chicago Suburban Baseball League game with the Oswego Cats.
